Men's Tennis Team Stays Unbeaten

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team stayed perfect for the year with an 8-1 win over West Chester on Saturday at Bloomsburg.

The Huskies jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles with the team of Jeff Nuhfer (Warren/Warren Area) and Mark Schroeder (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) winning easily 8-0 at number three.

In singles play, Bloomsburg won five of the six matches with Nuhfer winning 6-0, 6-0 at number three and Ryan Glubo (Old Brodge, NJ/Old Bridge) winning 6-1, 6-1 at number five. The Huskies only loss in the match was a number one singles where Fernando Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) fell in three-sets.

The Huskies improved to 7-0 on the year and will face Adelphi University on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the BU courts. Both teams go in the match regionally ranked; Bloomsburg in the Atlantic Region and Adelphi in the East Region.
